CONSORT (MANUAL) The Consort manually operated constant heat jaw sealer is available in a range of sizes. High quality seals can be produced on many flexible laminated films, which include coated foils, papers, nylons, polyesters, cellophane etc.

Certain grades of polypropylenes can also be sealed on this unit subject to the jaws being coated in P.T.F.E. Both top and bottom precision crimp pattern sealing jaws are heated, maufactured in brass for even heat distribution over the jaw length. Electronic temperature controller, continuously monitored by a thermocouple sensor accurately maintains temperature. A lockable control knob prevents accidental adjustment.

This model is found typically in N.H.S. Hospitals, research labs, engineering, chemical industry, snack food, confectionary, biscuit manufacturers, etc.

Options:
  • Non standard sealing jaws.
Generally manufactured in brass to customers requirements to suit a particular application, Flat faced, vertical crimp pattern and other profiles and pitches are available.
  • P.T.F.E. Coated sealing jaws.
A high temperature Teflon coating (non stick) is offered when working with coated Polypropylene’s and materials which have a narrow sealing window. This option is also recommended for applications where it is likely that the inner coating of the laminate may make contact the face of the jaws.
  • Back stop.
This option guarantees the seal being parallel and a set distance from the top of the pouch. The stop is adjustable between 5 to 15mm (standard) beyond the seal.
  • Dwell timer.
An option to indicate the time period the are to remain closed (dwell time). Controlled by an electronic timer with either a lamp or audible buzzer indicator. Recommended for applications where a precise or lengthy time cycle required.
  • Emboss code.
This facility allows up to a 20 digit code to be embossed directly above the seal. Individual digits comprising of 6mm high characters (standard) are arranged in a mounting block which locates on the top jaw of the machine.
