The pneumatically operated Major B.M.A. is provided for applications where there is a need for repeatable high quality seals and/or remove operator's control over the seal cycle. The machine is designed primarily to seal wider sections of heavy gauge polythene's, co-extruded and laminated thermoplastic films e.g. Nylon/poly, Polyester/poly, etc. Both upper and lower sealing jaws are heated, the feature of an isolator switch allows either jaw to be turned on/off as required, when working with a variety of different thickness or types of film. Produced as a robust table top construction, enables all machine mechanisms, pneumatics, electrics and controls to be housed internally within the unit. The pneumatic circuit incorporates a low pressure safety system, this allows the sealing jaws close by low pressure only (until fully closed). Should the operator's hands be between the jaws as they close, no harm will become them from either pressure or heat. High air pressure and heat will only operate when the jaws are fully engaged on the film. Controls comprise of an electronic twin timer for both heat and cool cycle's and a regulator for mains air pressure. Operation is simple by use of an electric foot switch (push button version available on request). Sealing is initiated when jaws are closed on the film, jaws open automatically once the seal cycle is complete. The standard machine finish is hard wearing powder coat, colour white. Other types of finish e.g stainless steel, Galvanised as well as higher levels of ingress protection i.e IP 54/65 versions available. |
