ASTRAPAC - IMPULSE HEAT SEALER RANGE Major H.D. Heavy Duty (Semi Automatic)
Major B.M.A. Heavy Duty (Semi Automatic)
MAJOR B.M.A. (Semi Automatic) Air Operated
* Shown here with floor stand option.

The pneumatically operated Major B.M.A. is provided for applications where there is a need for repeatable high quality seals and/or remove operator's control over the seal cycle.

The machine is designed primarily to seal wider sections of heavy gauge polythene's, co-extruded and laminated thermoplastic films e.g. Nylon/poly, Polyester/poly, etc. Both upper and lower sealing jaws are heated, the feature of an isolator switch allows either jaw to be turned on/off as required, when working with a variety of different thickness or types of film.

Produced as a robust table top construction, enables all machine mechanisms, pneumatics, electrics and controls to be housed internally within the unit. The pneumatic circuit incorporates a low pressure safety system, this allows the sealing jaws close by low pressure only (until fully closed). Should the operator's hands be between the jaws as they close, no harm will become them from either pressure or heat. High air pressure and heat will only operate when the jaws are fully engaged on the film. Controls comprise of an electronic twin timer for both heat and cool cycle's and a regulator for mains air pressure.

Operation is simple by use of an electric foot switch (push button version available on request). Sealing is initiated when jaws are closed on the film, jaws open automatically once the seal cycle is complete.

The standard machine finish is hard wearing powder coat, colour white. Other types of finish e.g stainless steel, Galvanised as well as higher levels of ingress protection i.e IP 54/65 versions available.

Features:
  • Both sealing jaws heated.
  • Spring tensioned heating elements.
  • Low voltage heating elements.
  • Easy to service.
  • Silent in operation.

Seal Width:
Depending on application, other standard widths of seal available are 2, 6 and 8mm.
Manual Trim Facility:
Necessary where bags heights beyond the seal are to remain a constant or when making bags from layflat tubing (refer to bag making attachment below). This facility is available in two forms.
  • Rotary Disc Trimmer: Designed to work in front of the sealing jaws this is a Heavy duty self sharpening system (cuts full length of seal bar).
  • Blade Trimmer: Moulded safety cutter with spring loaded blade runs 10mm behind the seal bar (cuts a set distance between the jaw mounting arms).
Bag making attachment:
This comprises of a central core supported reel carrier (refer illustration, below) plus either of the above trimming options.
Bag Making Attachment
Height Adjustable Floor Stand:
Heavy duty tubular painted frame to support sealing head for freestanding applications.
